Ms. Thompson is like so many of our clients...

• Lost job due to company layoffs

She worked through our program, found a job and we were able to place her in housing.  She is now one of our most valued volunteers!

The How and the Why

I have been asked how does "A Hand Up" get the funding for it's programs.

1. Our organization receives funding from the government in the form of a grant that aims to aid those in need and fits the criteria for the program.

2. We also hold several fundraisers each year to help supplement the costs.

3. Lastly, we receive donations from our sponsors and generous people like you!

Put that all together, with the generous help from all our volunteers, we manage to survive.

Fundraising event October 15, 2011

5th Annual Dinner Dance and Silent Auction

A Hand Up is hosting their 5th dinner dance and silent Auction event on Saturday, October 15, 2011.  There will be a catered meal along with a silent auction, live music, and more! 

Admission: Tickets cost $75.00 per person.

Location:  Golden Gates Country Club, 6512 Hill Road, Grand Blanc, MI

Time:  7:00 p.m.
